Tournament Recap: THE PRIMETIME Championship

CGA TOUR – THE PRIMETIME CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP

The curtain has officially closed on THE PRIMETIME Championship, and it delivered exactly what you’d expect from the CGA Tour—drama, clutch performances, and a finish that came down to the wire.

At the top, it doesn’t get tighter than this.

Ryan Grimaldi and Reed Oettinger both finished at Even par, forcing a playoff to decide the champion. After a full tournament of back-and-forth momentum, it was Grimaldi who stepped up when it mattered most, winning in the playoff and capturing the title. Another statement performance from Grimaldi, who continues to prove he thrives under pressure, and earning his second CGA Tour career victory.

Casey Rutkey kept himself firmly in the mix with a strong +2 finish, rounding out the top three and continuing an impressive run in his rookie campaign.

Just behind him, Kyle Monroe and Christian Benzing both posted +4, showing consistency and keeping themselves competitive throughout the championship.

The middle of the leaderboard saw a tight cluster of players grinding it out:

  • Mike Remley (+7)

  • Nate Peacock (+8)

  • Jackson Lathrop (+8)

  • Jake Cleary (+9)

  • Noah Alviti (+10)

Each of these players had moments during the tournament but couldn’t quite string together the low round needed to make a push.

Further down the standings:

  • Colin Ford (+12)

  • Sean McKenzie (+13)

  • AJ Pearl (+15)

  • Marc Dispenza (+15)

  • Brandon Bahr (+16)

  • Matt Palardy (+17)

While the scores may not reflect it, this group battled through tough conditions and a demanding championship that tested every part of their game.

Final Takeaway:
THE PRIMETIME Championship lived up to its name once again. A playoff finish, multiple players hovering near even par, and competitive rounds across the board made this one of the most exciting events of the season. In the end, Ryan Grimaldi adds another big-time win to his resume—and once again sets the standard on the CGA Tour.

If this is any indication of what’s ahead, the rest of the season is going to be a battle.
