Membership/Relegation Policy

  • No player automatically qualifies as a CGA Tour member for the next season or any future seasons, if they are not already exempt

  • Bottom 4 players in individual season points at the end of the regular season, not already exempt, may be subject to relegation and replacement from the league

  • The CGA Tour Board reserves the right to kick any player from the league permanently or temporarily with a unanimous vote, regardless of any exemption status

  • Only active members can earn points and money (both individual and team) throughout the season

Exemption Guidelines

  • Regular Season Event Winner:

    • Does not include alternate events

    • Automatic exemption for full membership status for the next 1 season and all regular season events in that season

  • Candlewood Classic Winner:

    • Automatic exemption for full membership status for the next 2 seasons and all regular season events in those seasons

    • Automatic exemption for all future Candlewood Classics

  • CGA Open Winner:

    • Automatic exemption for full membership status for the next 3 seasons and all regular season events in those seasons

  • CGA Tour Championship Winner:

    • Automatic exemption for full membership status for the next 5 seasons and all regular season events in those seasons

  • Hall of Fame Induction:

    • Automatic exemption for full membership status for all future seasons and all regular season events in those seasons

Current Exemptions

Noah Alviti: 

  • Exempt through 2030 (Won 2025 CGA Tour Championship)

  • Exempt for all future Candlewood Classics (Won 2024)

Reed Oettinger: 

  • Exempt through 2029 (Won 2024 CGA Tour Championship)

Jackson Lathrop: 

  • Exempt through 2028 (Won 2025 CGA Open)

Matt Palardy: 

  • Exempt through 2027 (Won 2025 Candlewood Classic)

  • Exempt for all future Candlewood Classics (Won 2025)

Brandon Bahr: 

  • Exempt through 2026 (Won 2025 Icons Invitational)

Ryan Grimaldi:

  • Exempt through 2026 (Won 2025 The Slice)
